The name comes from a number of inspirations. Most notably I think of my Lord and Savior, the first Person recorded to draw His thoughts in the sand (See John 8). Secondly, I think of Michael Card's book and commentary on this event (Scribbling in the Sand: Christ and Creativity). Finally, the term "line in sand" is where we get the phrase, "draw the line." I suppose this is where I can express my thoughts, dragging my digital staff upon the smooth surface of e-sand.
